| AEDs: Increasing Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survival Rates in Your Community |
| Event Date: September 14, 2011 02:00 PM EST |
 |
North Lake Tahoe is among the safest places in the U.S. to have a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). Why? The entire community is prepared with automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Attend this webcast and learn how the fire department took a leading role in preparing the community to save more lives. Battalion Chief Michael Schwartz will share how to:
- Work within limited funds to equip all facets of your fire department with AEDs and increase SCA survival rates.
- Successfully launch and manage a community public access defibrillation (PAD) program.
Mike will be joined by Doug Randell, EMS training officer, from St. Louis Fire Department. With 365 AEDs, St. Louis has one of the largest PAD programs in the U.S. Doug Randell will share best practices on how to create a heartsafe community – large or small. |
